Terms of Service

1. The Service

NovaTrade is a trading journal and analytics tool. It lets you record and review your trades, sync trading history from MetaTrader 5 through our Expert Advisor, import data, write notes, run backtests, and track portfolios and personal trading finances.

NovaTrade is a record-keeping and analysis tool only. It does not place, modify or close trades, does not hold or move your money, and does not connect to your broker with trading permissions.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. Statistics, backtests and reports describe past data and do not guarantee future results.

Trading involves substantial risk, including the loss of all capital. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You agree to give accurate information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your password and your accounts' API keys confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@novatradejournal.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Plans, billing and renewal

Some features require a paid plan (Essential, PRO or Elite), billed monthly or yearly in US dollars. Prices and plan features are shown on our pricing page and may change; changes apply from your next billing period and we will tell you in advance.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the reseller (Merchant of Record) and may add the taxes that apply in your country. Its own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to the paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. Your journal data is not deleted when you cancel.

6. Refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. See our Refund Policy for details.

7. Your content

You keep all rights to the trades, notes, files and other content you add ("Your Content"). You give us a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content only to provide the Service to you, including when you choose to share a note or trade publicly.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to upload it.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law; upload malware or illegal content; try to access other users' data or our systems without permission; overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service; resell it without our written permission; or use it to give unlicensed financial advice to others.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as MetaTrader 5, market-data providers you connect with your own keys, hosting and payment providers. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or terms. Market data may be delayed or incomplete.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We may change, add or remove features. We recommend keeping your own copy of important records.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, lost data or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the law, or that put the Service or other users at risk.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.

14. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. Contact us first at support@novatradejournal.com so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
